Come join us at Avon Lea Farm, the Oskar Stonorov House and Farm and national register historic landmark, for our next fundraiser, Summer Extravaganza 2014.

This exquisite estate was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright’s predecessor and internationally recognized architect, Oskar Stonorov. With over 100 acres of sprawling land, Avon Lea Farm offers lots of room for adults to relax and children to run around, along with a tennis court to keep the calories down and a salt-water pool to cool off in.

Or take along your softball glove for a catch or possible softball game. Be part of the water balloon and ladder toss contests and pack your frisbee. The possibilities are endless.

Enjoy live entertainment, the likes of James Taylor, Van Morrison, and Jimmy Buffet. And don’t forget about the raffles and silent auction items.

The food will be inspired by Franklin Miller, Chef de Cuisine of the iconic Old Guardhouse Inn in Gladwyne, PA.

The Old Guard House Inn

Executive Chef Miller is well-known for his Dover Sole, Dijon-crusted rack of lamb, jumbo lump crab cakes and seared filet at the historic Guardhouse Inn. Rest assured, Chef Miller is sure to be presenting some of his finest barbecue recipes and salads.

Miller will host a cooking Q&A at 4:30 pm so we can learn some of the secrets to preparing food that leaves the taste buds clamoring for more.

Dinner will then start to be served at 5:00 pm. Chairs and tables will be provided for dining. BYOB.

Chef Miller, who is famous for his bread-pudding with caramel sauce, will be one of the judges of the taste-tester dessert contest that will take place at 6 pm. So bring along your family favorite cakes, pies or cookies if you’d like to enter the baking competition.

Enjoy Chef Miller’s specially crafted concoctions at 6:15 pm as well as our contestants’ fine desserts.
