It’s a travesty that health insurance does not currently cover the treatment costs for Lyme disease; it’s also reprehensible that the courageous doctors who diligently care for Lyme patients find themselves under constant scrutiny. I am determined to change this. I promise to do everything in my power to advocate for positive solutions in the procurement of proper health insurance coverage for Lyme disease patients — as well as comprehensive diagnosis and treatment — once I am fully restored to health.
In the meantime, IV antibiotics can cost anywhere from $6,000 to $7,000 per month — and that does not include the cost of the oral antibiotics and anti-malarials, or the supplies needed to run the IVs (tubing, Heparin and Saline flushes, dressing change kits, masks, gloves etc).
Thank you for considering making a donation toward the cost of my treatment. In time, I look forward to sharing my stories of giving back to a community that has done so much for me.
